I finally got off my ass and got in a walk during the workday. I wanted to spare the kids and Scott the drudgery of going tonight in the cold.


My short stubs (legs) prevent me from really hoofing it fast while walking. This is a brisk, no-nonsense pace for me.

I want to get out and do this (ideally) twice a day while at work, for a total time of 30 minutes walked. I walked a little farther today when I realized I was going to hit 1.5 miles in less than 30 minutes.

I set my Pile On The Miles goal at 100 miles. That pretty much means I need to put in three miles a day (on average), which I’d LOVE to be able to do just in walking miles, but it’s not really practical for me. But on the days I can’t run? I want to get a good 45 minutes in of walking.

I can’t really tell if my chest is any better today. I would love to try out a short run tomorrow if I can handle it, but it might be a better idea to just give it more rest. Ergh.
