Two runs for the price of one (blog post)

I was lured outdoors yesterday by the sun, even though it was by normal human standards, still too damn cold out.
I put in the prescribed “3 miles easy” run, though I am sure I could’ve taken it easier. Rang in at an avg pace of 10:09. Easy enough when you don’t want to be gone for too long on your work lunch break.
So, today.
Started out this morning with a 30 min “tempo” ride on the bike (was really supposed to do this last night) but instead made a huge bowl of chicken artichoke pesto pasta. Screw you, TPOD.

Sorry – these numbers don’t really mean much to me yet.
I also tried recording me riding my bike for this bike fit app I’m trying to figure out. Note: not as easy as it seems.
Verdict: I think my seat is too low and should be moved back ever so slightly.
Our forecast was something like mid- to high-20s for today. I know, right? It’s like summer, Olaf!
I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get in the 45 min tempo. My left hamstring has been kind of tight and hurty. I decided to play it by ear. I’m trying this new thing where I listen to my body when it tells me to screw off. It kind of did that today. I eased back to a place that was semi-comfortable. My stride felt off. This wasn’t really a tempo run, but I also didn’t lollygag. I’m calling it good.
3.04 mi in 29:58 (9:51/mi avg pace)
I also took the Mizunos (Wave rider 16) out for their first outside run today. It was a little sloppy in spots, but I found some dry pavement to run on (!!!) for about half the run. I do like these shoes. The Pureflow2s have some competition this season.
