RWRUNSTREAK Day 9: We didn’t die

One of the highlights of today’s team /var/run(ch): We didn’t die. Also: Day 9? I’ve never run nine days in a row. I’m waiting for limbs to start involuntarily detaching any day now.
I thought it would be a great day for an easy out and back on the highway like we did on Tuesday, but I hadn’t planned on us getting 5-6 inches of new snow since the time I got to work this morning. After a few cars flashed their lights at us (cars that were driving WITHOUT their lights on, hello), we headed uphill on some residential streets and back to campus.
My goal was 3 miles, so I’m happy. Also: not a bad pace for all the snow we ran in plus the uphill climb(s).

If you’re wondering, yes. It did feel like -2°F.

RC Josh had some great beardsicles going. Also: Thanks Oiselle Superfly cap – you help keep the snow out of my eyes.
Pretty decent conversation the entire time (or when I wasn’t sucking wind) ranging from biking to religion. While I’m mostly a solo runner (out of necessity), I like these group runs, even if a “group” is only one person.
On Fridays, campus dining services puts on an international lunch. Today was Indian food. I’ll be honest – thinking about coconut curry chicken and chan masala was a motivator.
There’s probably an embarrassing video of me trying tofu (hate that shit) but I haven’t seen it yet. Thanks for runching, Josh.
