Funny how those runs that feel super hilly aren’t in reality all that hilly. The route I ran this morning only gains/loses about 200 ft in elevation. Why then, does it seem like 2,000?
I know I went out a little more slowly than normal. Even with the headlamp, it’s hard to see all the divots in the gravel road at 6AM in almost total darkness (this route is 60% gravel). Oh, and I was really tired.
I threw in some quick sprints in the last half mile of the run, which actually started to feel pretty good as I approached my street. Still going to take the night off from CrossFit. I know these legs need rest, especially with 8 on Friday and 13 on Saturday.
