Sick. Me. Sadly.
Set the alarm for my normal time, planning on getting in the 8 mile mid-week mid-long run. I even had my “scare the bear” tools on standby:
But it wasn’t meant to be. Throat on fire. Head pounding. Body aching. I decided my body was telling me to take it easy today, so I am. That doesn’t mean I’m happy about it.
I’ve made it for 10.5 weeks without missing a marathon training run (if you don’t count my mega-trail run weekend where I took an extra rest day before I ran a half the following Saturday. I think that’s pretty damned commendable, so I’m focusing on that.
Not saying a run doesn’t sound good, though. Bunch of daycare shit has hit the proverbial fan and now we’re looking for a new daycare provider. Again. A month later. Heaven help me through these Daycare Years.
I see the whistle, but what in the world is that blue thing?
Daycare…one of the leading factors in me quitting my job (again)…
It’s a bell! It has a magnet that silences it until you want to use it.
