Slightly obsessive

I ran my usual 5k route, per Hal’s suggestion. I am wired to associate weekend running with longer distances, so in a way this feels like a cop-out. However, my legs felt a bit stiff and tired, and a chilly, misty high 30° F morning wasn’t really helping.
30:14. It wasn’t the best time I’ve had on this route, but it’s still quite respectable for moi.
I spent the entire day looking for my son’s shoe; I’d bought him a brand new pair this past weekend in MN. I tend to be a little obsessive. Okay, a lot obsessive, and I wasn’t going to rest easily until I knew where this shoe was.
After looking all day and tearing the house apart, I decided to check the trash Scott had taken out earlier today.
Yep, in the trash, and thankfully close to the top. And the best part? Probably my doing as I rushed around cleaning this morning.
Scott doesn’t share my obsessive behavior, thank god. There’s only enough room in this house for one freak.
I also stress ate a bunch of chocolate chip cookies I baked for church tomorrow, so it might be a store-bought coffee cake instead. Can’t exactly show up to church with half a dozen cookies, right?
Thank god for running.
