An off day

July 30, 2012 by Amy B

It happens. You wake up at 5:30am for a 4 miler and the thunder is so loud it rocks the windows. I went back to bed.

I was able to get out at 6:00 after Scott got home. I haven’t run in the evening for some time. It was windy. My legs were dead. It was humid, too.

Image I walked quite a bit after having to stop at around the 1.75 mile mark to use the bathroom at BK (pleasant!). After that, it was hard to get the legs going again. I also felt a little dehydrated and lightheaded. I took it easy for the last half.

I guess they can’t all be great runs, right? This is one of those days I’m just glad I made it out there.

In weight loss news, I’m down about 7 lbs since I started tracking my food at the beginning of July. I’ve calculated I can get down to my goal weight by the end of 2012 if I keep a goal of about a pound a week.

Runner, Eater, Mother, Tweeter

Amy, July 2013

I'm a thirty-something suburbanite turned ruralite living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Wife, mom of two, eater of all things delicious, and a runner. This is where I blather on about running and health. Baby Number Three will be here in November (so yes, I'm a little crazy), and I'm running through my pregnancy for as long as my body's willing and able. There's also more of me at amyupnorth.com. All I ask is that the sweater comes back in one piece from school picture day. With the buttons still attached. #arlocardigan #brooklyntweed
